INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 13 OF REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 "GDPR"

The following information is aimed at describing, in general terms, the management methods of the portal (hereinafter the "Portal") related to the IAI - Istituto Affari Internazionali (hereinafter the "Institute") regarding the processing of personal data of users who consult it. The Institute aims to align privacy protection policies with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (hereinafter "Regulation" or "GDPR"), D. Lgs. 196/2003, as amended by D. Lgs. 101/2018, containing the "Personal Data Protection Code" (hereinafter the "Privacy Code"), and current privacy regulations.

WHO IS THE DATA CONTROLLER?

The data controller is the Istituto Affari Internazionali – IAI, located in Rome, at Via dei Montecatini, 17.

WHAT DATA IS PROCESSED?

The personal data processed by the data controller includes: personal information (name, surname); contact information (email address and, optionally, phone number); other personal data possibly included in the communication/request for information. Special data (related to health status, political ideas, union membership, etc.) will not be processed. In this regard, users are invited not to communicate them in any way. In any case, if provided erroneously, they will be immediately deleted.

WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES AND THE LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING?

Handling of requests/communications entered by the user in the appropriate form within the portal.

Data sent via the form will not be stored and will be deleted once the request or related communication has been completed.

Technical measures will be taken to ensure data security during transmission through the use of HTTPS and data encryption.

Specific consent provided by the user/interested party.

TO WHOM WILL YOUR PERSONAL DATA BE COMMUNICATED?

Your personal data will be processed exclusively by authorized individuals and by natural and/or legal persons designated as Data Processors pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR, in order to carry out the processing activities necessary to achieve the purposes detailed in this Information.

Your personal data may be communicated to Public Entities or the judicial authorities, where required by law or to prevent or suppress the commission of a crime. Your data will not be subject to disclosure.

HOW LONG WILL YOUR DATA BE RETAINED?

Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes outlined in this Information. It is specified that no data entered and processed to enable the pursuit of the above-mentioned purposes will be stored in the Institute's databases or recorded in any way by the Institute.

In particular, your personal data will be processed for a period of time equal to the minimum necessary period required to fulfill any legal obligations, provided that it is not necessary to retain them further to defend or assert a right or to comply with any additional legal obligations or orders from authorities.

WHERE WILL YOUR PERSONAL DATA BE PROCESSED?

Your personal data will be processed by the Institute within the territory of the European Union.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

We remind you that you can exercise the rights granted to you by the GDPR, and in particular:

  • Confirm whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed and obtain access to the data and the following information: purposes of processing, categories of personal data, recipients and/or categories of recipients, retention period;
  • Rectify inaccurate personal data concerning you and/or complete incomplete personal data, also by providing a supplementary statement;
  • Erase personal data in cases provided for by the GDPR;
  • Restrict processing in cases provided for by current privacy regulations;
  • Receive your data and request the direct transmission of your data to another data controller;
  • Object to the processing at any time, for reasons related to your particular situation, in full compliance with current privacy regulations;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority as provided for in Article 77 of the Regulation or take legal action (Article 79 of the Regulation).

You also have the right to revoke your consent. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before exercising this right.
